During the last 50 years, international trade has more than doubled in terms of its share of global GDP. Following a significant disruption during the pandemic, both trade and foreign direct investment have rebounded. It is, however, unclear whether we’ll see a return to pre-pandemic growth in global integration, or a turn toward decoupling and deglobalization.

We have gathered some of the leading experts to delve into these issues. They will discuss America's strategies on trade, international finance, the role of the U.S. dollar, artificial intelligence, and dealing with China and Russia.
